Standard exchange

Standard exchange: how does it work?

At TXF Turbo, we offer you a simple and transparent standard exchange system.

In your cart, you choose “Yes” or “No” to paying the deposit. If you pay it, your turbo is dispatched without waiting for your old part; the deposit is then refunded after receipt and inspection of an eligible part. If you do not pay it, TXF Turbo must receive your old turbo before dispatching your order. The deposit amount is shown on the product page.

1. I order my turbo

Choose the turbo compatible with your vehicle directly in our shop.

When the product is offered as a standard exchange, the applicable refundable deposit amount is clearly shown on the product page before you add it to your cart.

What is the refundable deposit?

The refundable deposit is a sum temporarily charged on top of the price of the turbo. It guarantees the return of your old turbo, also called the used turbo or core.

Paying the deposit, or not

In your cart, you choose for each turbo concerned whether or not to pay the deposit. If you pay it, your turbo is shipped without delay and the deposit is refunded to you after your old part has been returned. If you do not pay it, your order remains valid, but the turbo ordered is only shipped once TXF Turbo has received your old turbo.

Turbos sold new, such as those in the Jrone range, are not affected: they are sold without a deposit and require no return of an old part.

2. I receive my turbo

Your turbo is prepared and then shipped to the address given with your order. On receipt, you can go ahead and replace your old turbo.

We recommend that you keep the packaging of the turbo you received, as it can be used to return your old part to us in good condition.

3. I return my old turbo

Once your new turbo is fitted, send your old turbo back to us. Contact us before shipping it: the exact return arrangements, the return address and, where applicable, the necessary documents are provided by our customer service team, which arranges the return transport.

Your old turbo must be:

  • properly packed
  • complete
  • matching the replaced part number or model
  • protected to prevent any damage during transport

4. TXF Turbo receives and inspects your old turbo

When your parcel arrives, our team inspects your old turbo. This check serves in particular to confirm that the returned part complies with the conditions of the standard exchange.

We check in particular:

  • that the returned turbo does match the replaced turbo
  • that the part is complete
  • that the main components of the turbo are present
  • that the part has not suffered damage making its recovery or remanufacturing impossible

5. Your deposit is refunded

Once your old turbo has been received and declared compliant, we refund the refundable deposit by bank transfer, in accordance with the arrangements set out in Article 5 of our terms and conditions of sale. You may be asked for your bank details (IBAN).

You are notified once the inspection is complete and the refund has been approved. The progress of the return can also be followed in your order details.

In which cases may the deposit not be refunded?

The deposit may be withheld, in full or in part depending on the applicable conditions, in particular where:

  • no old turbo is returned
  • the returned turbo does not match the expected part number
  • the part is incomplete
  • certain essential components are missing
  • the part shows damage incompatible with the take-back conditions
  • the other conditions set out in the terms and conditions of sale are not met

To avoid any unpleasant surprises, we recommend that you check the conditions applicable to your product before returning it.

How much is the refundable deposit?

The amount of the refundable deposit may vary depending on the part number of the turbo ordered. The exact amount applicable to your order is shown:

  • on the product page
  • in your cart
  • when you confirm your order

The amount displayed on the product page is the amount charged in the cart and stated in your order confirmation.

When should I return my old turbo?

We advise you to send the return as soon as your new turbo has been fitted, to speed up the processing and refund of your deposit. If you did not pay the deposit, it is the receipt of your old turbo that triggers the shipment of your order.

How long does it take to receive the refund?

The refund is made after your old turbo has been received, inspected by our team and confirmed as compliant. Once the deposit has been approved, the transfer is initiated without undue delay. The time it takes to appear in your account may then vary depending on your bank.
